TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT and SKILL CENTERS
There are a number of employment and training centers in Arizona providing counseling, training and educational services. Services provided vary, but gen-
erally include vocational counseling and training, job referral and placement, basic education and GED preparation, and English as a Second Language. A
few employment and training centers offer on-site vocational skills training at no charge and these are noted. Others refer individual students elsewhere for
training, depending upon the student’s particular needs, with training fees paid by the referring agency. In either instance, training is generally open-entry and
open-exit to allow students to enter class when there is an opening, to progress at their own pace, and to graduate upon attaining the required proficiencies.
Interested students should contact the employment and training centers for specific information on the services they provide.
